Shinedown’s fourth studio album, Amaryllis, was released to fans in March 2012. The album has the old-style Shinedown sound while still moving the band forward. Threat to Survivalgave us some astounding singles “Cut the Cord,” “How did You Love,” “State of My Head,” and “Asking for It.” The album was certified Gold in February 2018. Brent Smith has a very distinctive voice and excellent range. The songs on this album bounce between a pop-influence and a harder rockin’ style. They announced the album in August and released September eighteenth, topping out in the number five spot on the Billboard 200. # 3 – Threat to SurvivalĢ015 brought Shinedown fans their fifth studio album, Threat to Survival. Sound of Madness produced four killer singles “Sound of Madness,” “Devour,” “If You Only Knew,” and “Second Chance.” The album peaked at number eight in July 2008. Brent Smith was also going through some personal, life-changing issues, which he used to fuel the Sound of Madness album. They lost two of their band members, for personal reasons, Jasin Todd and Brad Stewart. Right before Shinedown began working on this album, the band went through some tough situations. # 4 – Sound of MadnessĪ lot of their fans selected the next album as their best, Shinedown’s third studio album, Sound of Madness. They used each song as a WWE theme song for live pay-per-view events in 20. “Save Me,” and “I Dare You” were the other two songs released. There were three singles that were released from this album “Heroes, the third single was number four on the Mainstream Rock charts. Us and Them was certified platinum in 2018. Brent Smith’s vocals showcase the range he is capable of and the ballads are more intense. The guitar riffs are stronger and stand out more. If you were to compare this album to the debut album, there are some well-received changes. Some are good, some are bad, and some are indifferent. The top singles from Leave a Whisper were “Burning Bright,” “45,” “Fly from the Inside,” and “Simple Man.” All were in the top five on the US Mainstream Rock list. Critics compared the album to the sound of bands like Puddle of Mudd, Alice in Chains, and Creed. Despite that, the album ended up being the band’s second best-selling album. Leave a Whisper peaked at number fifty-three on the Billboard 200 in August 2004. This was Shinedown’s debut album, released in 2003.
